About Chauff-Her

Chauff-Her ®™ 2202961
The term chauffeur comes from the French term for stoker because the earliest automobiles, like their railroad and sea vessel counterparts, were steam-powered and required the driver to stoke the engine. … Hence the term chauffeur which, in this context, means something like “heater-upper” … So what is the difference between a driver and a chauffeur?  A driver is simply someone who operates a vehicle (for example, consider a taxi service like Uber, Ola or DiDi, which lets just about anyone be your driver), while a chauffeur is a professional who is hired to drive.
Why #ChauffHer then – the word chauffeur is often misspelled as chauffer, chaufur, chauffar, shofer, shoffer and shoffar!  A chauffeuse refers to a female chauffeur – however we’ve gone and named the business Chauff-Her as a play on the spelling but also to embody the female chauffeur concept . . . @chauffher
